Overview of the position

The Interactive Web and Graphic Developer is responsible for creating high quality designs, assets and coding. This is a contract position to start in order to make sure it’s a good long-term fit, with the expectation that it becomes full-time salaried position in short order.

What we're looking for

  • You are the best web designer you know, and you know a few.
  • You have a passion for creating great web user experiences.
  • You have experience creating beautiful, intuitive interactive design concepts from scratch.
  • You have multiple sites in your portfolio that people actually use.
  • You can manage projects (and people) and get things done.
  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • You embrace constructive design feedback and can quickly adapt design concepts.
  • You understand what sarcasm is.
  • You have a strong understanding of typography, colors, site structure, navigation, UI principles, wireframes and user flow.
  • You have expert knowledge of front-end web development and underlying technologies, including clean and organized tableless HTML and CSS.
  • You are friendly with the entire Adobe Creative Suite and have a mastery of Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Dreamweaver.
  • You can do more with Javascript than copy/paste.
  • You have cross-browser compatibility expertise, including IE6 troubleshooting skills if need be.
  • A BA/BS in Graphic Design, Computer Science or equivalent experiences a plus.
