Small business owners get to wear a bunch of hats, one of which is the website administrator.  Although I highly recommend letting the web development company who you work with keep tabs on the technical aspects of the site, here are 3 websites that will increase your web I.Q., 1 site that will save you money and 1 site that is just fun.   

I had a really strange experience this morning. I dropped my wife's parents off at the Boise airport and drove straight to work in my mother-in-law's car. I ended up listening to the local guys on 580 KIDO -- a talk radio station. They were discussing new media sites, like Facebook and MySpace. Both were disgusted that anyone could spend "so much" time participating in silly activities on the Internet (paraphrased quote:  "some people post their current activities 3 or 4 times a day on Facebook").
